Printing & Copying File Requirements
Preparing files for Printing & Copying
PrintingGrant's Mailing Services supports most file formats avaiiable. Our preferred file format is a High Resolution PDF file. For digital output, please ensure your files are a minimum of 300 dpi and in CMYK colour format. If your file has colour or an image that goes off the edge of the page, make sure your file is set up to accomodate a 1/4" bleed. For example if the final size is 8.5" x 11", the submitted file should be 8.75" x 11.25". If applicable, please supply all fonts or convert them to "Outlines" or "Curves". If your job is for offset printing and requires specific pantone colours, Spot UV or Die-Cutting, make sure they are clearly labelled inside the file. When you supply material on disk for Grant's to output, please supply only files relevant to the job. Remove all other files. If this is not possible, put all files not relevant in one clearly marked folder.
CopyingIf you are providing documents for Photocopying
For the best copy output we strongly suggest the use of digital files. The quality of screens and images will be much higher than a 'photocopied' original. |
